Reallabor für erneuerbare Fotografie is curated by Nicolas Reinhart and Christoph Wieland.

Nicolas Reinhart (*1991) studied medicine in Heidelberg and is currently studying Image, Space, Object, Glass at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design. A central aspect of his artistic practice is the investigation of the photographic medium and its traces. He is a founding member of the collective Kalamari Klub. His work has been awarded and exhibited internationally, among others at 254Forest Brussels, Heidelberger Kunstverein, Helsinki Darkroom Festival at The Finnish Museum of Photography, PORT25 Mannheim - Raum für Gegenwartskunst and Prospekto Galerija Vilnius.

Christoph Wieland (*1985) studied art history and curatorial practice in Heidelberg and Karlsruhe. As an independent curator, researcher and producer, he has been working since 2012 with various institutions such as the Berlin Biennale, the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie, Bozar Brussels, the Centre Pompidou Paris, the Goethe-Institut, the Museum der Dinge Berlin or ZEPHYR - Raum für Fotografie in den Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen. Since 2021, he has been doing a PhD on the theory and practice of photo archives at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.
